I try whenever possible to be economical with the form, to indicate rather than spell out.  The viewer's eye takes pleasure in filling in the image.

I included this close-up to show that areas in my paintings that might seem perfectly blended from a distance are actually made up of distinct individual strokes when viewed close up.  Getting the foreshortened hand and arm just right was a nice challenge.
